Dr. DeNapoli was a “world citizen" and he showed this every day as he spent his career promoting international education, global engagement, bilingualism, cross-cultural understanding, the internationalization of the curriculum, campus globalization, and the development of innovative online, onsite, and blended instructional programs. Through his endless efforts, excellent ability to engage with everyone on campus and abroad, he was able to forge over 18 partnerships all over the world, including the development of global initiatives, undergraduate and graduate programs and university partnerships in 18 countries in Latin American, the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. He was a true education visionary, and he is dearly missed.
This is a scholarship for NSU students wishing to study abroad. “DeNapoli Scholars” will lead their peers in a culturally immersive experience while abroad. Upon their return to the U.S., the recipient will guide other students to understand the importance of global engagement and to participate in study abroad programming.
