Sports Performance and Nutrition

At the completion of the 2023-24 academic year, NSU Athletics finished 8th amongst 304 NCAA Division II universities.

Collegiate student-athletes have unique nutritional needs that often require more calories and a specialized blend of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Along with very tight schedules that include weight training, conditioning, practice and the regular demands of a college student, our student-athletes often struggle to meet their nutritional needs. It is our goal to raise money to provide recovery and snack options that our Sharks can grab and go on their way to their next class or training session.

The NSU Sports Performance department is hosting its 2024-25 fundraising campaign to help generate support for its student-athletes. Our Sharks are giving it their all in the classroom, in practice and on the field, proudly representing Nova Southeastern University, alumni, friends and family like you.

This year, donors who contribute $39.54 or more will have the option to receive an exclusive Shark StrengthT-shirt. The funds raised this year will directly support the NSU Sports Performance team’s goal of providing vital nutrition for our student-athletes, including a variety of fueling and recovery options to enhance our student-athletes’ performance on and off the playing field.

*If you choose to opt out of the Sports Performance t-shirt, 100% of your donation directly supports the program. If you opt in to receive the t-shirt, a portion of your donation will be deducted to cover the cost of the shirt, with the remainder supporting the program. See below for details.

To qualify, gifts must be made during Sharks Athletics' fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). The charitable portion of each contribution may be a tax deduction as per the IRS.
