Farquhar Honors Program

The Farquhar Honors College is now the Farquhar Honors Program of the NSU Halmos College of Arts and Sciences. The Farquhar Honors Program fosters opportunities for high-achieving and curious students across disciplines to connect and advance their potential as leaders, scholars, and agents of change in our world.

Established in 2003 with 76 students, the Farquhar Honors Program has since grown to over 600 students. To reflect our growing reach and eminence, we're constantly expanding the opportunities available to the Honors community.

The Farquhar Honors Program accepts the top 10% of applicants and is open to students from all majors. It is the home of multidisciplinary inquiry and scholarly excellence at NSU. In the program, Honors students benefit from smaller class sizes and have exclusive opportunities to engage with hands-on learning, individualized study, travel study, unique workshops, campus and community leadership roles, and faculty mentorship.

The Farquhar Honors Program provides distinguished academic and co-curricular programs and cultivates a community of lifelong learners and leaders where curiosity creates change.
